Maryjo holds a BA in Product Design and earned her MA in Fashion Business from Nottingham Trent University in the UK. Driven by a passion for jewelry and accessories, she founded CHOWS upon graduation, an expression of individual style. Alongside building her label, Maryjo has designed and developed pieces for renowned fashion brands such as Joules, Next, Morgen, Silk & Soie, ELLE and David Charles. Now based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, she works from her home studio, which is surrounded by nature, her daughter Alba, and their adopted puppy.

In 2025, Maryjo partnered with her longtime friend Vicky to bring CHOWS JEWELS to Boston, Massachusetts. With over a decade of experience in the tech industry, Vicky brings expertise in customer experience, business operations, and brand building. She’s passionate about building lasting relationships and ensuring every customer feels seen and valued. A proud Boston local, Vicky leads the business side of CHOWS JEWELS, bringing its story and spirit to life in a city that perfectly reflects its blend of heritage and innovation.
